Journal paper published!
On June 14 2025, my paper on classifying technical road inspection texts using very few examples was published in Advanced Engineering Informatics (impact factor 9.9)!
This work covers an area that is applicable to almost every technical domain-specific field, where data is scarce and the task is non-trivial.
By fully leveraging the contrastive training objective of Sentence Transformers, we were able to push few-shot learning to the limits! Classification results in low resource settings managed to outperform those from much larger LLMs like Llama3.
